The saponification resistance of floor resin is better. Because oxygen-absorbing corrosion produces hydroxide ion OH- at the cathode, the pH can even reach 14, which catalyzes the hydrolysis and saponification of acyl groups and reduces the wet adhesion of the paint film. The phthalamide group is more resistant to hydrolysis and saponification than the ester group. Epoxy resin has good wet adhesion and saponification resistance. Epoxy resin primers show greater resistance to saponification than alkyd primers. Epoxy-amine and epoxy/phenolic primers have good corrosion resistance, but the ring Oxygen/phenolic primer requires high temperature curing.
